How to choose an artificial Christmas tree

Choosing a Christmas tree – customer´s guide

Christmas trees play a big role in our favorite holiday traditions. We decorate, open presents and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere with friends and family around the tree. It’s important to have one that not only suits your style, but also lasts for decades. In this guide, we’ll show you how to choose the best artificial Christmas tree for your home.

Choose a space

Artificial Christmas trees come in a variety of sizes and shapes. To narrow down your options, choose a room and see if you have space for a small Christmas tree or a tall one. First of all, measure the height of the ceiling, thanks to which you can narrow down the choice of suitable heights for your home.

Height

A good rule of thumb for choosing a height is at least 15cm between the top of the tree and the ceiling. This also applies when adding spikes, stars or other decorations to the top, which would increase the height of the tree. So, if you have a standard ceiling of 240cm, a tree at a height of 210 to 220cm will be most suitable for you. We measure our trees from the ground to the highest peak.

60cm – 110cm – small trees suitable for a table, window or desk.

120cm – small trees suitable for a table, window or desk

150cm , 180cm – suitable for bedrooms, children’s rooms and small spaces

210cm, 220cm – ideal for rooms with a standard ceiling of 240 cm. This size is one of the best seller

240cm, 250cm – these sizes are suitable for larger rooms with higher ceilings

270cm – 450cm – such Christmas trees are suitable for large entrance halls or shopping centers

400cm – 1200cm – giant Christmas trees ideal for decorating shopping centers, showrooms, town squares or churches

If you already know what height is suitable for your home, you can filter by height in each category, which will save you a lot of time when choosing a tree.

Shape and width

The shape of the tree gives you a general idea of how much space it takes up. If you have a large space, choose from the classic sizes, but if you have limited space, you should consider a slim Christmas tree or a tree that you can place anywhere in your room. Measure the available floor area and compare it with the dimensions on our website. Each tree has specifications below the product description. It says the width measured at the widest point at the bottom.

Extra wide Christmas trees

More robust and wider version of standard Christmas trees suitable to large and spacey rooms (diameter 15-25cm wider than standard trees).

Standard width of trees

The most popular shape with the classic profile of natural Christmas trees (diameter from 125cm for a 220cm high tree).

Slim artificial Christmas trees

Slim trees for smaller rooms and apartments (diameter up to 105 cm).

Small Christmas trees

However, if you don’t have space even for a narrow Christmas tree, then small trees are suitable for you, which can be placed anywhere on the table, dresser or other place in the room. Potted Christmas trees are among the most popular.

REALISM

An artificial Christmas tree does not mean saying goodbye to the look of your favorite live tree. Many of our trees are designed to look like the real species – from the shape and branch structure to the color.

Needles type

We categorize types of needles according to the material used. PVC needles are flat like paper, while polyethylene (PE) needles have a larger dimension, which is why trees with these needles are also called realistic trees. Some trees have a combination of both – the more PE branches, the more realistic the tree. Most realistic trees are made exclusively of PE branches.

Realistic PE needles – Realistic Christmas trees

These PE needles are unrecognizable from live ones.

Traditional PVC needlesTraditional Christmas trees

Traditional Christmas tree needles are flat like the paper.

Realism levels

According to the amount of used PE branches, we divide them into 3 groups:

Most Realistic Trees (100% PE)

Only PE branches are used in making of these trees, so the tree is unrecognizable from a live Christmas tree. And yet quality is paid for, and these trees carry the label “expensive”.

Realistic Trees (PE)

These trees are used PE branches along the edge of the tree and the middle of the tree is filled with traditional PVC needles for a denser appearance. The amount of PE branches used is from 50% to 70%. This combination is among the most popular due to its favorable price and at the same time still realistic appearance.

Traditional Christmas trees (PVC)

For classic Christmas trees, only PVC branches are used, so they belong to the cheapest group, but this does not mean that they should not be beautiful. And there is a really large selection of beautiful trees.

Lighting

New on the market are Christmas trees with built-in LED lighting for the most demanding clients. LED lights consume less electricity and produce less heat than conventional Christmas tree light bulbs. Our LED trees are also equipped with a SMART ADAPTER. Just download the application and you will control the tree lighting directly from your smartphone.

Unfolding system

Only two types of branch unfolding systems are used in our trees.

SNAP TREE SYSTEM – The twigs have a predetermined groove into which the branches fall, so the tree will be 100% unfolded as it should be.

TRADITIONAL UNFOLDING SYSTEM – Trees with this system have branches connected straight to the trunk, so you have to stretch them to 90° so that the tree is unfolded correctly.

Instructions on how to properly unfold the tree and branches so that your tree has a perfect shape and appearance can be found HERE.

Tree stand

A tree stand is part of every tree purchased from us. The stand can be either artificial or metal. For traditional Christmas trees, an artificial tree stand is most often used, while for realistic and most realistic trees, a metal stand is included. If you would like to put your future tree into a metal stand, we offer you the opportunity to purchase a replacement tree stand on our website.
